On Tuesday 19 August 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Sam Mostyn AC, received Ms Simone Clarke, Chief Executive Officer, United Nations Women Australia and Ms Alison Davidian, Country Representative, United Nations Afghanistan.  

Then, the Governor-General received Ms Annabelle Williams OAM, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, Grit and Gold Pty Ltd. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General participated in filming for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s ‘The Assembly’ with Daniel Bartholomaeus, the Australian Capital Territory’s Young Australian of the Year. 

Then, the Governor-General travelled from Sydney, New South Wales to Canberra, Australian Capital Territoy. 

Later, the Governor-General received Ms Shelly Reys AO, Chair of the Council for the Order of Australia.
