On Tuesday 23 December 2025, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, received phone calls from Imam Shadi Al Suleiman, President of the Australian National Imams Council, and Rabbi Yaakov Glasman, St Kilda Hebrew Congregation. 

Then, the Governor-General conducted phone calls with Mr Surinder Jain, Hindu Council of Australia; Ms Katherine Xavier, Catholic Diocese of Parramatta; Reverand Ralph Esterby, National Director Chaplaincy Australia and Army Chaplain and Mr Gawaine Davies, Buddhist Council of New South Wales. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General travelled from Sydney, New South Wales to Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.
