On Friday 5 June 2026, Her Excellency the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC travelled from Sydney, New South Wales to Melbourne, Victoria. 

Then, the Governor-General, as guest of the Hollingworth Family, attended the Funeral of the Right Reverend the Honourable Doctor Peter Hollingworth AC OBE, former Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, at Christ Church, South Yarra, Victoria. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General travelled from Melbourne, Victoria to Sydney, New South Wales.
