On Monday 14 July 2025, Their Excellencies the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC and Mr Simeon Beckett SC, travelled from Sydney, New South Wales to Rockhampton, Queensland. 

Then, the Governor-General and Mr Beckett, as guests of Admiral David Johnston RAN, Chief of the Australian Defence Force, attended a Firepower demonstration. 

In the afternoon, the Governor-General and Mr Beckett, as guests of Mr Matt Newell, Principal, attended the Rockhampton State Highschool. 

Then, the Governor-General and Mr Beckett, as guests of Lance and Robbyn Freeman, attended a function to present a posthumous National Medal.
