Sydney Philharmonia's ???JS Bach's St John Passion'; Lunch hosted by the Prime Minister of Thailand; Central Women's Correctional Institution; Meeting with Her Royal Highness Princess Bajarakittyabha; Reception for the Australian / Thai community and Australian alumni

On Saturday 23 April 2011, at Sydney Opera House, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, attended Sydney Philharmonia’s ‘JS Bach’s St John Passion’.

Earlier, at Siriraj Hospital, Bangkok, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE paid respects to the King of Thailand, His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Afterwards, at Government House, Bangkok, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, His Excellency Mr Abhisit Vejjajiva, and Dr Pimpen Vejjajiva, inspected the Thai Ladies Association exhibition and attended a lunch hosted in their honour.

In the afternoon, at the Central Women’s Correctional Institution, Bangkok, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Patron, Her Royal Highness Princess Bajarakittyabha, visited the ‘Enhancing the Lives of Female Inmates’ Project.

Afterwards, at the residence of the Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, His Excellency Mr James Wise, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a reception for the Australian/Thai community and Australian alumni.
