Then, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, laid a wreath at the Merimbula War Memorial.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as guest of Councillor Russel Fitzpatrick, Mayor, Bega Valley Shire Council, visited Engineering and Planning Cadets at the Bega Commemorative Civic Centre, New South Wales.

Later, the Governor-General attended a reception for new Australian Citizens at the Bega Commemorative Civic Centre, New South Wales.

Then, the Governor-General, as guest of Inspector Shane Jessop, Local Emergency Operations Controller, visited the Bega Fire Control Centre, New South Wales.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General, as guest of Mr Stephen Bartlett, Chair, Bega Land Managers Committee, officially opened the Bega Showgrounds Community and Emergency Evacuation Centre, New South Wales.

Then, the Governor-General, as guest of Mr Andrew Taylor, Chief Executive Officer, Circularity Cooperative, toured the Bega National Circularity Centre construction site. 

Afterwards, the Governor-General travelled from Bega Valley Shire, New South Wales to Sydney, New South Wales.
