On Saturday 06 September 2025, Their Excellencies the Honourable Ms Sam Mostyn AC, and Mr Simeon Beckett SC travelled from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia to Umnugovi province, Mongolia.

Then, Their Excellencies, as guests of Mr Steffan Herselman, Oyu Tolgoi General Manager, Underground Operations, and Ms Deirdré Lingenfelder, Oyu Tolgoi Chief Executive Officer, conducted a tour of the Oyu Tolgoi Underground Mine.

In the afternoon, Their Excellencies, as guests of Ms Deirdré Lingenfelder, Chief Executive Officer, Oyu Tolgoi, attended a working lunch to learn more about the operations of the mine.

Then, Their Excellencies, as guests of Ms Sugar Gonchigjansan, General Manager Communities, Oyu Tolgoi, met with a nomadic herder family.

Afterwards, Their Excellencies, as guests of Mr Andrew Lye, Chief Operating Officer, Oyu Tolgoi, met with female and Australian staff of the Oyu Tolgoi Underground Mine.

In the evening, Their Excellencies travelled from Umnugovi province, Mongolia to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
