Greg Ridder AM

Greg Ridder AM is deeply passionate about the ‘For Purpose’ sector.

He is the chair of Life Without Barriers and Bridge It, director of the PNG Sustainable Development Program, and benefactor of the Allanah and Madeline Foundation. He was formerly director of Oxfam Australia, Phoenix Australia and has held positions within World Vision Australia.

Greg is non-executive chair of Kogan, and executive mentor at Kilfinan Australia.

For his work, he was appointed a Member of the Order for service to the community through charitable organisations in The King’s Birthday 2025 Honours list.

“I love the various ways I am connected with the For Purpose sector and, for me, that’s always about how do we get the mission and the people we serve to always be at the centre of our thinking,” he explains.

“There are so many worthy and deserving organisations and gifted leaders in the sector, and I have the great privilege of working with a few of them every day.

“I love to see people grow and thrive as business leaders and entrepreneurs and that their organisations are equipped to endure so that they can deliver their missions way into the future.”

Reflecting on his recognition, Greg says acknowledging work within the not-for-profit sector is of the utmost importance on a national scale.

“Recognition is an important sign that the work matters,” he says.

“Not necessarily to an individual recipient for they see that already but, in particular, that it matters to our country.

“Community and society needs more than the commercial, government and legal actors and institutions to make it heartfelt, rich and meaningful and many recipients are working for those holistic outcomes every single day.”
