Monika Tu OAM
Monika Tu OAM says her recognition within the King’s Birthday 2025 Honours list motivated her to keep going.
Monika is an ambassador at the Children’s Cancer Institute, donor at the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation and a founding patron of Global Women Leaders Strategy Philanthropy.
Monika may be a familiar face as she is also founder and director of Black Diamondz Property Concierge, and was a cast member of Luxe Listings Sydney in 2022.
For her work, she was awarded the Medal of the Order for service to the community through charitable organisations.
“As someone who migrated from China with little more than hope and determination, I never imagined I would one day be acknowledged in this way,” she says.
“This recognition has already inspired deeper reflection on the responsibility I have as a leader and role model – especially for women, migrants, and to next generation of entrepreneurs.
“It strengthens my commitment to empowering others, supporting the vulnerable, and continuing to serve as a cultural bridge between East and West. I also believe it will elevate the visibility of our community’s achievements and encourage greater participation in philanthropy and community engagement.”
Prior to the recognition, Monika says she was motivated by gratitude.
“For the opportunities Australia has given me, and for the trust others place in my work,” she explains.
“I believe in the power of connection, generosity and vision. Whether it’s helping a family find their dream home or supporting a child through cancer research funding, I am energised by the potential to make a lasting difference and create a legacy.”
