On Friday 17 May 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Colonel Rachel Harris, Commandant, attended the March Out Parade at the Australian Army Recruit Training Centre, Kapooka.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as guest of Mr Murray Harley, Chairman, Australian Army Rugby Union Old Boys, attended the 4th Annual Leopards Long Lunch at the Rex Hotel, Canberra.

On Thursday 16 May 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of Mr Glenn Keys AO, Board Director, Invictus Games Sydney 2018, attended an Invictus Games lunch at Pialligo Estate, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Council of Australia at Government House, Canberra.

On Wednesday 15 May 2019, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received Letters of Credence from His Excellency Mr Rodrigo Coronel Kinloch, accrediting him as the Non-Resident Ambassador for Nicaragua.

Afterwards, the Governor-General hosted a lunch for the North Asian Heads of Mission.

On Tuesday 14 May 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of Mr Tom Rogers, Electoral Commissioner, visited the Australian Electoral Commission, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Mr Geoffrey Shaw, Head of Mission-Designate to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, for a pre-posting call at Government House, Canberra.

Later, the Governor-General hosted a lunch for the Pacific Heads of Mission.

On Tuesday 7 May 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted an Investiture Ceremony for members of Human Nature – Mr Toby Allen, Mr Phil Burton, Mr Andrew Tierney and Mr Michael Tierney – at Government House.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Dr Martin Parkinson AC PSM, Secretary, visited the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

On Saturday 4 May 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, met with members of the public during the annual Admiralty House Open Day.

On Thursday 2 May 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted an Investiture Ceremony for Admiral Mike Rogers AO USN (Retd), former Director of the National Security Agency, at Government House, Canberra.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Immanuel Lutheran School, SA, and afterwards with students from Ivanhoe Girls Grammar, VIC, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
