On Tuesday 14 May 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of Mr Tom Rogers, Electoral Commissioner, visited the Australian Electoral Commission, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received Mr Geoffrey Shaw, Head of Mission-Designate to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, for a pre-posting call at Government House, Canberra.

Later, the Governor-General hosted a lunch for the Pacific Heads of Mission.

On Friday 10 May 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), met with students from St Aidan’s Anglican Girl’s School, QLD, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Thursday 9 May 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), met with students from Alfredton Primary School, VIC; and Millicent High School, SA, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Wednesday 8 May 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), met with students from Ivanhoe Grammar School, VIC; Culburra Public School, NSW; and Grace Christian College, VIC, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Tuesday 7 May 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted an Investiture Ceremony for members of Human Nature – Mr Toby Allen, Mr Phil Burton, Mr Andrew Tierney and Mr Michael Tierney – at Government House.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Dr Martin Parkinson AC PSM, Secretary, visited the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

On Saturday 4 May 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, met with members of the public during the annual Admiralty House Open Day.

On Thursday 2 May 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted an Investiture Ceremony for Admiral Mike Rogers AO USN (Retd), former Director of the National Security Agency, at Government House, Canberra.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Immanuel Lutheran School, SA, and afterwards with students from Ivanhoe Girls Grammar, VIC, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Wednesday 1 May 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mr Stuart Ellis AM, CEO of the Australasian Fire and Emergency Council, attended the 2019 Memorial Service for Fire and Emergency Services Personnel at the National Emergency Services Memorial at Rond Terrace, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General met with students from Moreton Bay College, QLD; and Williamstown North Primary School, VIC; as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Tuesday April 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of Professor Fiona Wood AM, met with staff and viewed facilities at the Fiona Wood Foundation.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as guest of Dr Garry Tester, CEO, Sports Challenge Australia, met with staff and students at Clayton View Primary School, Koongamia.

On Monday 29 April 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of the Commanding Officer, visited the Special Air Service Regiment at Campbell Barracks, Perth.

Afterwards, the Governor-General hosted a morning tea for his Western Australia based patronages at the InterContinental Perth.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General hosted a luncheon for Western Australia-based recipients of honours and awards at InterContinental Perth.
