On Thursday 27 June 2019, at Admiralty House, Kirribilli, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received His Excellency Sir Robert Dadae GCMG, the Governor General of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea.

On Tuesday 25 June 2019, at Admiralty House, Kirribilli, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove received the Honourable Scott Morrison MP, the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia, and Mrs Jenny Morrison.

On Monday 24 June 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove were farewelled from Canberra by Australia’s Federation Guard and Staff from the Office of the Official-Secretary to the Governor-General at Government House.

On Friday 21 June 2019, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received Mr Tom Rogers, Electoral Commissioner, Australian Electoral Commission (AEC); Mr Andrew Gately, National Election Manager, AEC, and Mr Paul Pirani, Chief Legal Officer, AEC, to receive the writs from the 2019 Federal Election.

On Thursday 20 June 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove unveiled the Governor-General’s official portrait at Australian Parliament House.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Ambassador-designate to the Russian Federation, for a pre-posting call.

Later, the Governor-General received Mr Gerard Martin, Assistant Secretary, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and Ms Jillian Harding, Executive Officer, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.
