On Friday 23 February 2018, at Abu Dhabi International Airport, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, were welcomed to the United Arab Emirates by the Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Mr Arthur Spyrou and Mrs Britt Spyrou.
On Thursday 22 February 2018, at Changi International Airport, Singapore, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove were welcomed to the Republic of Singapore by the High Commissioner to the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency Mr Bruce Gosper.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove received a briefing from Mr Gosper.
Later, at The Istana, the Governor-General met with the President of Singapore, Her Excellency Halimah Jacob and Mr Mohamad Abdullah Alhabshee.
On Wednesday 21 February 2018, at St James’ Church, Sydney, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, attended the memorial service for the late Sir Nicholas Shehadie AC OBE.
On Tuesday 20 February 2018, at St James’ Church, Sydney, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), attended the memorial service for the late Mr Michael Jenkins Crouch AC.
Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General received the Chair of the Council for the Order of Australia, the Honourable Shane Stone AC QC.
On Monday 19 February 2018, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the High-Commissioner Designate to the Independent State of Samoa, Ms Sara Moriarty.
On Sunday 18 February 2018, at Charles Sturt University (CSU), Bathurst, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of Vice-Chancellor, Professor Andrew Vann, viewed the facilities and met with staff and students of the School of Engineering.
Afterwards, at Bathurst RSL Club, the Governor-General as guest of the Mayor of Bathurst City Council, Mayor Graeme Hanger OAM, attended a civic reception.
On Friday 16 February 2018, at Garden Island, Sydney, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Commander-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Commander Australian Fleet, Read Admiral Jonathan Mead AM RAN, viewed the capabilities and met with the crew of the Guided Missile Destroyer, HMAS Hobart.
On Wednesday 14 February 2018, at Ronald McDonald House, Westmead, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Chief Executive Officer, Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia, Ms Barbara Ryan, officially opened the new Ronald McDonald House Westmead, toured the facilities and met with staff and volunteers.

On Thursday 8 February 2018, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.
