On Saturday 10 June 2017, at Rond Terrace, Campbell, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Commander-in-Chief and Lady Cosgrove, attended the 2017 Trooping of the Queen’s Colour.

On Thursday 8 June 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received a video call from Tasman District School, TAS, as part of their civics and citizenship class.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from St Marks Anglican Community School, WA; Holy Family Catholic Primary School, NSW; and St Joseph’s Primary School, NSW, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Wednesday 7 June 2017, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, received His Royal Highness Prince Henry of Wales KCVO.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted the 2018 Sydney Invictus Games launch.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception for the 2017 Invictus Games Squad, who will compete in Toronto, Canada, from 23 to 30 September 2017.

On Tuesday 6 June 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, at Villaggio Sant’ Antonio (VSA) aged care facility, Canberra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove met with staff and residents as a part of the ‘Timeless Memories’ program. The program coordinates visits of high profile organisations and people throughout Australia who have a connection to one or more residents of the VSA aged care facility.

On Monday 5 June 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), met with students from St Marks Anglican Community School, WA, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

Christchurch, NZ; Stewart Island, NZ; Ulva Island, NZ; Invercargill, NZ

On Saturday 3 June 2017, at the Canterbury Earthquake National Memorial, Christchurch, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Deputy Mayor of Christchurch, Mr Andrew Turner, viewed the memorial and laid a wreath.

Afterwards, at the Department of Conservation Visitor Centre, Stewart Island, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Community Ranger, Ms Jennifer Ross, received a briefing on the local environment and quarantine restrictions.

Auckland, NZ; Kaikoura, NZ; Christchurch, NZ

On Friday 2 June 2017, at the Northern Club, Auckland, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President, Mr Derek Nolan QC, attended a Trans-Tasman Business Circle breakfast.

Afterwards, at Hapuku Lodge, Kaikoura, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Mayor of Kaikoura, His Worship Winston Gray, met with first responders of the Kaikoura earthquake, which hit the area in November 2016.

Wellington, NZ; Auckland, NZ

On Thursday 1 June 2017, at Government House, Wellington, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Governor-General of New Zealand, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Dame Patsy Reddy GNZM QSO DStJ and His Excellency Sir David Gascoigne KNZM CBE CStJ, attended a ceremonial welcome.

Afterwards, at the Great War Exhibition, Wellington, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the General Manager, Mr Dave Clearwater, viewed the facilities and met with staff.

On Wednesday 31 May 2017, at ANZAC Parade, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President of the National Boer War Memorial Association, Colonel John Haynes OAM (Retd), officially opened the National Boer War Memorial.

In the afternoon, following the departure of the Governor-General from Australia on a State Visit to New Zealand, the proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of Australia was signed by the Governor of Queensland, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC.

On Tuesday 30 May 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), met with students from Craigburn Primary School, SA; and Hills Christian School, SA, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
