Visit to Inaburra School

At Inaburra School, Bangor, the Governor-General, as Patron of Life Education Australia and guest of the Principal, Mr Tim Bowden, visited a Life Education mobile classroom and received a brief from the Chief Executive Officer of Life Education Australia, Mr David Ballhausen.

Australian Local Government Association General Assembly; Ceremonial Welcome and State Lunch for the President of the Republic of Singapore; Address-in-Reply from the President of the Senate

On Monday 16 June 2014, at the Convention Centre, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of the President of the Australian Local Government Association, Dr Felicity-Ann Lewis, addressed the National General Assembly.

Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, received the High Commissioner to the Republic of Singapore, Mr Philip Green OAM.

Podmore Foundation lunch

On Sunday 15 June 2014, at the Royal Canberra Golf Club, Yarralumla, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President, Podmore Foundation, Associate Professor Bob Breen, attended a lunch at which the Governor-General presented the annual Podmore scholarships.

Lunch for Melbourne patronages; Melbourne City Mission; Australian Rugby Union Test

On Saturday 14 June 2014, at the RACV Club, Melbourne, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove hosted a lunch for members of Melbourne based patronages. Guests included: Dr Brian Graetz and Ms Kim Webber; Mrs Sarah Hardy and Mr Peter Jopling; Dr Jennifer Johns; Mrs Therese Kelly and Mr Andrew Case; Professor Richard Larkins AO and Mrs Caroline Larkins; Mr Mike O'Meara and Mrs Margaret O'Meara; Mr Ross Pinney and Ms Jennifer Williams; Mr Greg Ross; and Mrs Anne Wilson and Mr David Wilson.

Visit to Harnett House

At Harnett House in Brunswick, as guests of the Melbourne City Mission’s (MCM) CEO, Reverend Ric Holland, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove met with participants in MCM's T.I.M.E Out Sibling Program for 8-13 year olds and adolescents who have a sibling with a disability.

Lunch with the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps

On Friday 13 June 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove hosted to lunch the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and Ambassador of the Argentine Republic, His Excellency Mr Pedro Villagra Delgado; Deputy Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and High Commissioner for the Independent State of Papua New Guinea, His Excellency Mr Charles Lepani and Mrs Katherine Lepani; and Chief of Protocol, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ms Sally Mansfield.
