Governor-General visits St Paul’s Way Trust School in London

At the St Paul’s Way Trust School in London, the Governor-General, as guest of Lord Andrew Mawson OBE and the Headmaster, Mr Grahame Price, attended a briefing on the social enterprise transformation project before meeting school students.

Later, the Governor-General, as guest of the the Vice Chancellor of London Metropolitan University, Professor Malcolm Gillies AM, and the Manager of the London Accelerator Program, Mr Richard Celm, met students and young Australian entrepreneurs at East London Tech City.

Official visit to the United Kingdom

On Monday 10 June 2013, at the Australian High Commission, London, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, His Excellency the Honourable Mike Rann CNZM, and the Non-Executive Director for Women on Boards, the Honourable Ros Kelly AO, attended a discussion on ‘Women in Business: Opportunities and Challenges,’ and later met with Australian business women living in the United Kingdom.

The Governor-General, as guest of the High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, His Excellency the Honourable Mike Rann CNZM, and the Non-Executive Director for Women on Boards, the Honourable Ros Kelly AO, attended a discussion on ‘Women in Business: Opportunities and Challenges’ at the Australian High Commission in London.

M Bryce later met with Australian business women living in the United Kingdom.

Official visit to the United Kingdom

On Sunday 9 June 2013, at Farnborough Airport, United Kingdom, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, were welcomed by the High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, His Excellency the Honourable Mike Rann CNZM.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attend a briefing by the High Commissioner, and Deputy High Commissioner, Mr Andrew Todd.

The Women’s Auxiliary of Sydney Legacy; Opening night of Blak; European Australian Business Council Mission to Europe

On Friday 7 June 2013, at Legacy House, Sydney, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, as Patron, presented Certificates of Appreciation at the 80th Annual General Meeting of the Women’s Auxiliary of Sydney Legacy.

In the evening, at the Sydney Opera House, the Administrator, as Guest of Honour, attended the opening night of Bangarra Dance Theatre Australia’s Blak, followed by a post-performance reception in the Concert Hall, Northern Foyer.
