Visit to Busselton

In Busselton, Western Australia, the Governor-General, as guest of the Mayor of the City of Busselton, Councillor Ian Stubbs and the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Grant Henley, attended a community reception at the Busselton Beachfront.

Visit to Margaret River

At the Margaret River Civic Centre, the Governor-General, as guest of the Shire President of the Augusta – Margaret River Shire, Councillor Michael Smart, attended an afternoon tea with representatives of the shire community.

Later, at the Margaret River Community Centre, the Governor-General visited the ‘Count me in Program’ and received an overview of the services the program provides to the disabled community.

Reception for the Kirby Institute; Opera Australia’s ‘The Turk in Italy’

On Wednesday 22 January 2014, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, hosted a reception for the Kirby Institute.

Afterwards, at the Sydney Opera House, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as a guest of the Chief Executive Officer of Opera Australia, Mr Craig Hassall, attended the opening night of ‘The Turk in Italy’.
