On Wednesday 2 October 2013, at the State Library of Victoria, Melbourne, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the Managing Director Academic Publishing at Cambridge University Press, Mr Richard Fisher, and the Publishing Manager at Cambridge University Press, Ms Kim Armitage, officially launched the publication ‘The Cambridge History of Australia’.

Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE received graphic designer, Mr James Stuart.

On Tuesday 1 October 2013, at Mt Eliza, Victoria, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO attended a morning tea with Dame Beryl Beaurepaire AC DBE.

Afterwards, at the Wheeler Centre, Melbourne, the Governor-General, as guest of the author Dr Patricia Edgar AM, and in recognition of the International Day of Older Persons, launched the book ‘In Praise of Ageing’.

In the evening, in Melbourne, the Governor-General, as Patron and guest of the Director, Professor Jayashri Kulkarni, officially opened the Monash Alfred Psychiatry Research Centre.

The Governor-General, as guest of the author Dr Patricia Edgar AM, and in recognition of the International Day of Older Persons, launched the book ‘In Praise of Ageing’ at the Wheeler Centre, Melbourne.

On Saturday 28 September 2013, at Brisbane City Hall, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer of Centori, Mr Brian Freeman, and Queensland RSL Branch President, Mr Terry Meehan, attended a dinner with families of fallen Australian soldiers.

On Friday 27 September 2013, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, hosted a lunch in honour of Australian painter, Mr William Robinson AO.

The Governor-General laid a wreath during the National Police Remembrance Day Memorial Service at Kings Park, Canberra.

On Thursday 26 September 2013, at Radford College, Bruce, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the Principal, Mr Phillip Heath, officially opened the new Senior School Building.

Afterwards, at the Canberra Institute of Technology, Reid, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guest speaker, attended the Defence Windows Support Group annual lunch.
