On Wednesday 27 June 2012, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, received from His Excellency Dr Helmut Böck, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Thorsten Eisingerich (Minister-Counsellor). The Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE also received Mrs Barbara Böhm-Böck and Master Sebastian Böck.

On Saturday 23 June 2012, at the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney, the Governor-General, Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, the Honourable Warren Snowdon MP, attended a farewell dinner for the Bomber Command Commemorative Mission to the United Kingdom.
The Governor-General farewelled Australian veterans from Bomber Command who will attend a dedication ceremony for the Bomber Command Memorial in London on June 28.
Ms Bryce and Mr Michael Bryce joined the 31 veterans for the Bomber Command Commemorative Mission farewell dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney. Speaking to the veterans, the Governor-General expressed her admiration, respect and affection for their service and sacrifices on behalf of all Australians.
