Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference of the People's Republic of China

On Friday 8 April 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received the First Assistant Secretary, North Asia Division, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr Peter Rowe.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Mr Jia Qinglin.

Launch of ???Notebooks'

On Thursday 7 April 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Chairman of Bethesda Children's Homes, India, the Reverend Dr R. Abraham, and the President of Heart for India, Mr Graham Hill.

In the afternoon, at the National Gallery of Australia, Parkes, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a reception at which the Governor-General launched Notebooks by Betty Churcher AO.

Ronald McDonald Care Mobile; Reception for the World Medical Association Council

On Tuesday 5 April 2011, at Royal Far West’s Drummond House, Manly, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General, as Patron, launched the Ronald McDonald House Charities’ first Australian Ronald McDonald Care Mobile.

In the evening, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a reception for participants of the 188th World Medical Association Council Meeting.

National Breast Cancer Foundation reception

On Monday 4 April 2011, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received from Diabetes Australia, President, Ms Patricia McKenzie, and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Lewis Kaplan.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received from Zip Industries, the Chairman and Chief Executive, Mr Michael Crouch AO, and former Chairman and Chief Executive, Mr Gavin Lockley.

Later, the Governor-General received from ABC Radio National, Ms Sheryle Bagwell.

By 2015 Coalition'; National Institute of Dramatic Art; St James Ethics Foundation

On Friday 1 April 2011, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, hosted a morning tea to mark the launch of the ‘By 2015 Coalition’.

In the afternoon, the Governor-General received the Chief Executive Officer of Cancer Australia and the National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre, Dr Helen Zorbas.

Afterwards, at National Institute of Dramatic Art, Kensington, the Governor-General, as guest of the Chairman, Mr Malcolm Long, and the Director and Chief Executive Officer, Ms Lynne Williams, viewed the Institute’s new Screen Course.

Philatelic Association of New South Wales' National Stamp Exhibition 2011; ???Love Wisdom Motherhood' book launch; Opera Australia's ???Partenope'

On Thursday 31 March 2011, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, as Patron, received from The Salvation Army, the National Secretary, Mr Kelvin Alley; Territorial Communications and Public Relations Secretary for the Australian Eastern Territory, Major Glenn Whittaker; and the Territorial Public Relations Secretary for the Australian Southern Territory, Major Neil Venable.

Afterwards, at Royal Randwick Racecourse, the Governor-General, as Patron, opened the Philatelic Association of New South Wales’ National Stamp Exhibition 2011.

Gloucester Cup; Foodbank awards

On Wednesday 30 March 2011, at Fleet Base East, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a ceremony, at which the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, presented the Gloucester Cup to HMAS MELBOURNE.

Afterwards, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General received the Director of the Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency, Ms Helen Conway.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a reception for Foodbank, at which the Governor-General, as Patron, presented the Patron and Hall of Fame awards.

???Because I am a Girl' campaign; Campaign for Wool Australia

On Tuesday 29 March 2011, at the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, as Patron, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a lunch in support of Plan International Australia’s ‘Because I am a Girl’ campaign.

In the evening, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a reception to launch the Campaign for Wool Australia.
