Investiture Ceremony

On Thursday 16 September 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Bryce AM AE attended, and the Governor-General conducted, an investiture ceremony.

In the evening, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival in Australia of the Mother of the King of the Kingdom of Tonga, Her Majesty Queen Halaevalu Mata'aho, by Colonel Michael Miller RFD ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

Concert for Art Song Canberra

On Sunday 12 September 2010, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE met with visitors to the Admiralty House open day.

Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as Patron, hosted an afternoon concert for Art Song Canberra.

On Friday 10 September 2010, at the Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, as guest of the Football Federation of Australia Head of Women’s Football, Ms Leeanne Grantham, watched the Matildas training camp and met with players.

Credentials Ceremony for the Ambassador of the Republic of Panama;

On Thursday 9 September 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received from His Excellency Mr José Antonio Ruiz Blanco, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of Panama. The Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE also received Mrs Maria Stella Nunez Spiegel de Ruiz.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a morning tea in honour of the Ambassador of the Republic of Panama.

National Service Memorial unveiling and afternoon tea; Musica Viva Australia's 2011 International Concert Season launch

On Wednesday 8 September 2010, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, unveiled the National Service Memorial.

Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted an afternoon tea to mark the dedication of the National Service Memorial.

Later, the Governor-General, as Patron, received the Chief Executive Officer of Parkinson's Australia, Mr Norman Marshall.

Call by the Prime Minister; Q ArtStudio; Australian Institute of Family Studies; NGV Dinner

On Tuesday 7 September 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received the Prime Minister, the Honourable Julia Gillard MP.

Earlier, in Kew, Melbourne, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Manager and Curator, Ms Carolyn van Wamel, visited Q ArtStudio.

Afterwards, in Melbourne, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Director, Professor Alan Hayes, visited the Australian Institute of Family Studies.
