On Friday 10 September 2010, at the Australian Institute of Sport, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, as guest of the Football Federation of Australia Head of Women’s Football, Ms Leeanne Grantham, watched the Matildas training camp and met with players.
On Thursday 9 September 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received from His Excellency Mr José Antonio Ruiz Blanco, Letters of Credence accrediting him as the Ambassador of the Republic of Panama. The Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE also received Mrs Maria Stella Nunez Spiegel de Ruiz.
Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a morning tea in honour of the Ambassador of the Republic of Panama.
On Wednesday 8 September 2010, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, unveiled the National Service Memorial.
Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted an afternoon tea to mark the dedication of the National Service Memorial.
Later, the Governor-General, as Patron, received the Chief Executive Officer of Parkinson's Australia, Mr Norman Marshall.

In the afternoon, at the National Gallery of Victoria, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Director, Dr Gerard Vaughan, viewed the European Masters exhibition.
