On Monday 7 June 2010, at Parliament House, Sydney, the Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO, officially opened the Business, Trade and Networking Forum of the New South Wales Parliament Asia Pacific Friendship Group.

On Sunday 6 June 2010, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE departed Australia on an Official Visit to the People's Republic of China.

The Proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia was signed by the Governor of New South Wales, Her Excellency Professor Marie Bashir AC CVO. In the evening, at the M on The Bund, Shanghai, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Australian Consul-General in Shanghai, Mr Tom Connor, attended a dinner with Australian Consulate-General staff.

On Saturday 5 June 2010, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a reception for the ???Sisters', a selected group of Australian women documented in a video featured at the Australian Pavilion of the Shanghai World Exposition 2010, which highlights the cultural differences and similarities between Chinese and Australian women. Guests included: Dr Erika Cretney, Professor Deirdre Lemerle, Ms Larissa Brown, Professor Veena Sahajwalla and Dr Xuemei Bai.

On Friday 4 June 2010, at the Australian Bureau of Statistics House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC officially launched the Australian Bureau of Statistics' ???2009-2010 Year Book Australia'.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Ambassador-designate to the Italian Republic and the Most Serene Republic of San Marino, Mr David Ritchie. In the afternoon, the Governor-General received the High Commissioner to the Republic of Maldives, Ms Kathy Klugman. Afterwards, the Governor-General received the President of the Republic of Maldives, His Excellency Mr Mohamed Nasheed. In the evening, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a State Dinner in honour of the President of the Republic of Maldives.

On Wednesday 2 June 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received a farewell call by the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Dr Saeed Mohammed Al-Shamsi.

On Tuesday 1 June 2010, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, as Patron, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a morning tea for Legacy widows from Canberra and the surrounding areas.

On Monday 31 May 2010, at The Lobby Restaurant, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC attended a pre-lunch reception for the Rural Health Education Foundation.

In the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor-General hosted a meeting on mentoring women in Africa. On Friday 28 May 2010, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received Local Chair of the Red Shield Appeal, Mr Trent Zimmerman, accompanied by local school students participating in the Red Shield Appeal.

In the afternoon, at Ascham School, Edgecliff, the Governor-General, as Patron, officially opened the 2010 Alliance of Girls' School Conference.
