On Friday, 31 August 2007, at New Farm, Queensland, the Administrator, Her Excellency Ms Quentin Bryce AC delivered the address at the Moreton Club Governor's Luncheon.
On Thursday, 30 August 2007, at Government House, Brisbane, following the departure from Australia of the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC on an official visit to Malaysia to attend the 50th Anniversary of Independence Celebrations in Kuala Lumpur, the Proclamation assuming the Administration of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia was signed by the Governor of Queensland, Her Excellency Ms Quentin Bryce AC.
