On Wednesday 28 March 2007, at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra, Their Excellencies the Governor-General, Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended the Business Leaders' Forum on Climate Change, at which the Governor-General delivered the opening address.

On Tuesday 27 March 2007, at Government House, Canberra, Their Excellencies the Governor-General, Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery hosted a Garden Party for members of the Diplomatic Corps.

Earlier, the Governor-General was represented at Sydney International Airport at the arrival in Australia of His Excellency Mr Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, by Colonel Bill Monfries, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

On Monday 26 March 2007, at Swanbourne Barracks, WA, Their Excellencies the Governor-General, Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended a ceremony to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Special Air Service, at which the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Force and Honorary Colonel of the SAS Regiment, launched the 50th Anniversary Australian SAS 1957 - 2007 Coin.

On Sunday 25 March 2007, at Scarborough Beach, WA, Their Excellencies attended the 100 Years of Heroes Memorial Service, at which the Governor-General, as Patron of Surf Lifesaving Australia and Patron-in-Chief of the 2007 Year of the Surf Lifesaver, read the First Lesson. Afterwards, Their Excellencies attended the final day of the Australian Surf Life Saving Championships, at which the Governor-General delivered an address and presented medals to the Under 15 Ironman and Ironwoman Champions.

On Saturday 24 March 2007, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC, as Personal Patron of the Australian Army Training Team Vietnam Association, laid a wreath at a service to commemorate the 45th Anniversary of the formation of the AATTV.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Marlena Jeffery hosted a reception to mark the 45th Anniversary of the formation of the AATTV.

On Friday 23 March 2007, at Avalon, Victoria, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC attended the 2007 Australian International Airshow and Aerospace and Defence Exposition Avalon 2007 ??? Breaking the Barriers.

In the evening, at Sydney, Her Excellency Mrs Marlena Jeffery, as the guest of honour, attended the NSW Down to Earth Club Matron Holyman Dinner.

On Thursday 22 March 2007 at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

On Wednesday 21 March 2007, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Her??Excellency Mrs Marlena Jeffery received the Prime Minister, the Honourable John Howard MP. Afterwards, the Governor-General on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, signed the instruments of revocation and appointments for the Minister and Parliamentary Secretaries to their respective new offices.

On Tuesday 20 March 2007, at University of Southern, Queensland, Their Excellencies the Governor-General, Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery, as guests of the Chancellor Mrs Bobbie Brazil, visited the Centre for Sustainable Catchment.

Later, Their Excellencies attended a luncheon with members of the faculty hosted by the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Southern Queensland.

On Monday 19 March 2007, at Kelvin Grove Campus, Queensland University of Technology, Queensland, Their Excellencies the Governor-General, Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General officially opened the Student Learning Support Centre.
