On Wednesday 6 March 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Ms Karen Cornelius, Principal, met with staff and students at the Coober Pedy Area School.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mr Anthony Ryan, Regional Director of Nursing, and Mrs Julia Waddington-Powell, Acting Executive Officer, met with staff and patients at Coober Pedy Hospital.

On Tuesday 5 March 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Ms Julia Shea, Principal, met with staff and students at St Peter's Girls’ School, Stonyfell.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Professor Steve Wesselingh, Executive Director, visited the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) to meet with staff and patients.

On Saturday 2 March 2019 the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a swearing-in ceremony at which the Governor-General issued Instruments of Appointment and Oath of Office to The Honourable Linda Reynolds CSC, Minister for Defence Industry and Minister for Emergency Management and North Queensland Recovery at Government House, Canberra.

On Friday 1 March 2019 the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Commander-in-Chief, presented the new Army Banner and celebrated the Army Birthday at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra.

In the evening, the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted an investiture ceremony for Mr Mark Fraser AO CVO at Government House, Canberra.

On Thursday 28 February 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted an Investiture Ceremony for Mr David Hoare AC at Admiralty House, Sydney.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as co-hosts with Cricket Australia, attended the Governor-General’s XI Cricket Match against New Zealand at Drummoyne Oval, Sydney.

On Wednesday 27 February 2019 the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a reception for the Governor-General’s XI and New Zealand Women’s Cricket teams, at Admiralty House, Sydney.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a reception to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the European–Australian Business Council.

On Tuesday 26 February 2019 the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Air Vice Marshal Steve Roberton DSC AM, Air Commander Australia, attended the 2019 Australian International Air Show.

As part of the visit, Their Excellencies met with service personnel from the ADF, visited the Drone and UAV arena, inspected the ADF’s static displays and attended the Australian International Aerospace and Defence Exposition.

On Monday 25 February 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Air Marshal Leo Davies AO CSC, Chief of Air Force, attended the 2019 Defence and Aerospace Industry Conference at the Melbourne Convention Centre.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a morning tea for Victorian-based patronages at The Langham Hotel.

On Sunday 24 February 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a reception to celebrate the National Heart Foundation Association’s 60th Anniversary, at Government House, Canberra.

On Saturday 23 February 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, travelled to Townsville, Queensland, to meet with organisations and individuals involved in response and recovery efforts following the major flooding earlier in the month.

As guests of Wing Commander Mathew Green, Senior ADF Officer, RAAF Base Townsville, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove visited ADF personnel and their families from RAAF Base Townsville and the 5th Aviation Regiment, at RAAF Base Townsville.
