On Thursday 18 May 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

In the evening, Lady Cosgrove, as Patron, hosted a reception for the Friends of the Australian National University School of Music, in conjunction with a reception for ACT based patronages.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from John Wollaston Anglican School, WA, as they undertook a tour of Government House, as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Wednesday 17 May 2017, at St George's Cathedral, Perth, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Dean of Perth, The Very Reverend Richard Pengelley, toured the facilities and met with staff.

Afterwards, at Burt Memorial Hall, Perth, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Director of Metzke, Mr Julian Burt, attended the Burt Memorial Hall 100th anniversary celebration.

On Tuesday 16 May 2017, at the Harold E Holt Naval Communication Station, Exmouth, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Base Manager, Mr Russel Leiven, viewed the facilities and received a briefing on operations.

Afterwards, at Vlamingh Head Lighthouse, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the District Manager of the Department of Parks and Wildlife Exmouth, Mr Arvid Hogstrom, viewed the facilities and received a brief on the local environment.

On Monday 15 May 2017, on the Ningaloo Vision Floating Production and Storage Offtake facility, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief Executive Officer of Quadrant Energy, Mr Brett Darley, viewed the facilities and met with crew members and staff.

In the evening, at the Ningaloo Centre, Exmouth, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Commissioner of Exmouth, Mr Ian Fletcher, attended a civic reception.

On Saturday 13 May 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, hosted an Investiture Ceremony and reception for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

On Friday 12 May 2017, at Campbell Town District High School, Launceston, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Principal, Ms Cindy Johnston viewed the facilities and met with staff and students.

Afterwards, at the Bicheno Returned and Services League, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Vice-President, Mr Tony Marriott, attended a community reception.

On Thursday 11 May 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received the Minister for Veterans’ Affairs, The Honourable Dan Tehan MP.

Afterwards, at the Australian National Botanic Gardens, Canberra, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Executive Director of the Australian National Botanic Gardens, Dr Judy West AO, and the President of Botanic Gardens of Australia and New Zealand, Mr John Sandham, launched the 2017 Botanic Gardens of Australian and New Zealand open day.

On Wednesday 10 May 2017, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove hosted a farewell dinner in honour of the Secretary of the Department of Defence, Mr Dennis Richardson AO.

On Tuesday 9 May 2017, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Council Member of the Australian War Memorial, Wing Commander Sharon Bown (Retd), attended the 2017 ACT Nurses Remembrance and Thanksgiving Ceremony, at which they laid a wreath.

Earlier, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General met with students from Toowoomba Grammar School, QLD, as they undertook a tour of Government House, as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Monday 8 May 2017, at the Parliament of NSW, Sydney, Lady Cosgrove, as guest speaker, attended the 2017 World Ovarian Cancer Day Leaders Lunch.
