Remembrance Day

At the Australian War Memorial, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chairman, Australian War Memorial Council, Rear Admiral Ken Doolan AO RAN (Retd), attended the Remembrance Day National Ceremony.

On Tuesday 10 November 2015, at RAAF Base Edinburgh, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) as Commander-in-Chief and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chief of Operations, WGCDR James Parton, visited No 92 Wing, at which they viewed the facilities and met with aircrew and maintenance personnel.

Mr Alfred Date’s 110th Birthday Celebration; Technical Aid to the Disabled Disability Services NSW Reception

On Monday 9 November 2015, at Peninsula Village, Umina Beach, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guest of the Chairman, Peninsula Village, Mr Darrell Pannowitz OAM, attended Mr Alfred Date’s 110th birthday celebration.

In the evening, at Admiralty House, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception to mark the 40th anniversary of the Technical Aid to the Disabled Disability Services NSW.

Darwin Visit

On Thursday 5 November 2015, at the Darwin Civic Centre, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as guests of the Lord Mayor of Darwin, Ms Katrina Fong Lim, attend a citizenship ceremony, at which the Governor-General was Presiding Officer.

Afterwards, in Darwin, the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove, attended the 5th Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment Freedom of Entry parade to mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of the 5th Battalion.
