Opening of St Brigid’s Green Aged Care Community Village; Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s Opening Gala Performance of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony

On Friday 27 February 2015, in Maroubra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Director, Mr Howard Smith, opened the St Brigid’s Green Aged Care Community Village.

In the evening, at the Sydney Opera House, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chairman, Mr John Conde AO, attended the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s Opening Gala Performance of Beethoven’s 9th Symphony.

Ceremonial Welcome and State Lunch for The King and Queen of Norway

On Monday 23 February 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove hosted a Ceremonial Welcome for Their Majesties King Harald V and Queen Sonja of Norway.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove met with The King and Queen of Norway; and received the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Børge Brende; Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Mr Tord Lien; and Ambassador of Norway, Her Excellency Ms Unni Kløvstad.

Re-opening of the ‘Australia in the Great War’ Gallery; ‘Australia in The Great War’ Gallery Lunch

On Sunday 22 February 2015, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chairman of the Council for the Australian War Memorial, Rear Admiral Ken Doolan AO RAN (Retd), launched the re-opening of the ‘Australia in The Great War’ Gallery.
