On Saturday 4 July 2015, at the Wesleyan Centenary Church, Nuku’alofa, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove attended the Coronation Service and Ceremony for His Majesty King Tupou VI.
Afterwards, at the Royal Palace, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended the Coronation lunch.
In the evening, at Masefield Naval Base, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended the Royal dinner.
On Friday 3 July 2015, at the Royal Palace, Nuku’alofa, Tonga, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove attended an audience with His Majesty King Tupou VI, at which the Governor-General was awarded the Grand Cross of the Royal Order of the Crown, and Lady Cosgrove was awarded the Grand Cross of the Royal Household Order of Tonga.
At the Ofa Tui’ Amanaki Centre, Tonga, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove as guests of the Secretary General, Tonga Red Cross Society, Mr Sione Taumoefolau, officially opened refurbished buildings which provide care for young children and adults with disabilities.
On Thursday 2 July 2015, at Mala Base, Port Vila, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Acting Commissioner, Vanuatu Police Force, Assistant Commissioner Job Esau and Maritime Surveillance Adviser, Lieutenant Commander Bobby Lewis RAN, met with members of the Vanuatu Police Force Maritime Wing and viewed an Australian sponsored Pacific Patrol Boat.

At the Vanuatu Women’s Centre, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Coordinator, Ms Merilyn Tahi, met with volunteers and staff, and were briefed on women’s empowerment programs
At the Prime Minister’s Office, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove met with the Prime Minister of Vanuatu, the Honourable Sato Kilman.
The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Principal, Mr Sebastian Larapia, met with students and teachers at Lenakel Harbour View Primary School.
The Governor-General, as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Program Director, Ms Inga Mepham, met with representatives of CARE Australia and received a brief on Australia’s response efforts following Cyclone Pam.
