Australian Bravery Association Service of Remembrance; Reception for the Afghanistan Cricket Team

On Sunday 15 February 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Australian Bravery Association, attended a Service of Remembrance and Wreath Laying Ceremony in the Bravery Garden.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a reception for the Afghanistan Cricket Team.

Lunch Reception for the 40th Anniversary Year of the Australian honours system; Brumbies v Queensland Reds Rugby match

On Friday 13 February 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron, received the Chief Executive Officer, Palliative Care Australia Inc, Ms Liz O’Callaghan.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Chief of Defence Force, Air Chief Marshal Mark Binskin AC.

Later, the Governor-General, as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a lunch reception to celebrate the start of the 40th Anniversary Year of the Australian honours system.

Federal Executive Council; Royal Australian Army Medical Corps Awards Ceremony

On Thursday 12 February 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Colonel-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted an Awards Ceremony for the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps.

Australian War Memorial First World War galleries viewing; ‘Day of China’ Music Concert

On Wednesday 11 February 2015, at the Australian War Memorial, Campbell, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chairman, Rear Admiral Ken Doolan AO RAN (Retd), viewed the redeveloped First World War galleries.

Afterwards, at Government House, the Governor-General received the Ambassador to Kuwait, Mr Warren Hauck.
