Albany Visit

On Saturday 1 November 2014, in Albany, Western Australia, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, attended the Albany Convoy Commemorative Troop March at which the Governor-General received the salute.

Afterwards, at the ANZAC Peace Park, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove attended the Albany Convoy Commemorative Service at which the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove laid a wreath in remembrance.

Visit to Albany

On Friday 31 October 2014, at the Vancouver Arts Centre, Albany, Western Australia, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Mayor of the City of Albany, His Worshipful Dennis Wellington, attended a Council morning tea and met with key stakeholders and community volunteers..

Federal Executive Council; Visit to Perth

On Thursday 30 October 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the President of the German Bundestag, His Excellency Professor Norbert Lammert, and the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, His Excellency Doctor Christoph Mueller.

Credentials ceremonies; Lunch for newly accredited Heads of Mission; Small Dining Room dinner

On Wednesday 29 October 2014, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) received from His Excellency Mr Isaiya Kabira, Letters of Commission accrediting him as the High Commissioner for the Republic of Kenya. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr Munyasya Mwangangi (Minister Counsellor), Mr Maurice Amisi (Counsellor) and Ms Mary Thiongo (Administrative Attaché). The Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove also received Mrs Betty Kabira.

Re-opening of Outward Bound Australia’s National Base and Training Centre

On Monday 27 October 2014, in Tharwa, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Patron and guest of the Chairman, Mr Rod Pearse OAM, re-opened Outward Bound Australia’s National Base and Training Centre.

Afterwards, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, received the Director-General of the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation, Mr Duncan Lewis AO DSC CSC.

In the afternoon, in Woden, Lady Cosgrove, as Patron, attended an afternoon tea with the Woden Seniors leaders group.
