In the evening, at ANZ Stadium, Sydney, the Governor-General, as Patron of Australian Rugby Union, and Lady Cosgrove, attended the first Bledisloe Cup test match between Australia and New Zealand.
At Ronald McDonald House, Brisbane (Herston), QLD, the Governor-General, as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove, spent time with families, staff and volunteers. Brisbane (Herston) is one of 13 Ronald McDonald Houses in Australia which provide a home away from home for families of seriously ill children undergoing treatment.
