Visit to Perth

At Burswood, the Governor-General, as guest of the Chief Executive Officer, Mr Gerard Neesham OAM, and Chair, Mr Ross Kelly, visited the Clontarf Foundation.

Later, at Waterford, the Governor-General, as guest of the Principal, Ms Julie Hornby, visited the Clontarf Aboriginal College.

Visit to Perth

On Monday 3 February 2014, at Murdoch University, Perth, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the Chancellor, Mr David Flanagan; Vice-Chancellor, Professor Richard Higgott; and Chair of the African Women’s Council of Australia, Dr Casta Tungaraza, attended a Women’s Networking event.

Afterwards, at Government House, Perth, the Governor-General received the Chief Executive Officer of Sports Challenge, Dr Garry Tester; Director, Ms Jennifer Clay; and Program Coordinator, Ms Deanna Smith.

Visit to Busselton, Margaret River and Perth

On Sunday 2 February 2014, in Busselton, Western Australia, the Governor-General the Honourable Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the Mayor of the City of Busselton, Councillor Ian Stubbs and the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Grant Henley, attended a community reception at the Busselton Beachfront.

Afterwards, at the Margaret River Civic Centre, the Governor-General, as guest of the Shire President of the Augusta – Margaret River Shire, Councillor Michael Smart, attended an afternoon tea with representatives of the shire community.

Visit to Busselton

In Busselton, Western Australia, the Governor-General, as guest of the Mayor of the City of Busselton, Councillor Ian Stubbs and the Deputy Mayor, Councillor Grant Henley, attended a community reception at the Busselton Beachfront.

Visit to Margaret River

At the Margaret River Civic Centre, the Governor-General, as guest of the Shire President of the Augusta – Margaret River Shire, Councillor Michael Smart, attended an afternoon tea with representatives of the shire community.

Later, at the Margaret River Community Centre, the Governor-General visited the ‘Count me in Program’ and received an overview of the services the program provides to the disabled community.
