On Saturday 5 November 2011, on King Island, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Manager, Mr Andy Summers, visited the King Island Dairy Fromagerie.

Afterwards, at the Clemons’ Property, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of owners Mr Jamie and Mrs Liz Clemons, attended a lunch with former lighthouse keepers’ descendants.

Later, at ‘Wongaru’, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of owners Mr Robbie and Mrs Linda Payne, visited a beef and sheep farm.

On Friday 4 November 2011, at Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera, Queensland, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a parade at which the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief and Colonel-in-Chief, presented the Governor-General’s Banner to the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps.

On Thursday 3 November 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Ambassador-designate to the State of Kuwait, Mr Robert Tyson.

Earlier, at the Manuka Arts Centre, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as Patron, conducted an interview with the General Manager, Engineering and Development of ArtSound FM, Mr Chris Deacon, prior to the start of Radiothon 2011.

On Wednesday 2 November 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO received from the Wangka Maya Pilbara Aboriginal Language Centre, Ms Esther Quintal and Ms Marjorie Kobold.

Afterwards, the Governor-General, as Patron, received the Managing Director and Founder of the Hear and Say Centre, Dr Dimity Dornan AM.

On Tuesday 1 November 2011, at Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Chairman of the Victoria Racing Club, Mr Michael Burn, attended the 2011 Emirates Melbourne Cup, at which the Governor-General delivered an address and presented the Cup.

On Monday 31 October 2011, at Parliament House, Darwin, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General swore-in the new Administrator of the Northern Territory, Her Honour the Honourable Sally Thomas AM, and delivered an address.

Afterwards, at Government House, Darwin, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce attended a lunch hosted in their honour by newly sworn-in Administrator of the Northern Territory.

On Sunday 30 October 2011, at Government House, Melbourne, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended an Investiture Ceremony at which the Governor-General, as Prior of the Order of St John, invested the Governor of Victoria, His Excellency Mr Alex Chernov AO, as the Deputy Prior of the Order of St John for the State of Victoria, and Mrs Elizabeth Chernov as a Dame of Grace.

On Saturday 29 October 2011, at Perth International Airport, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, attended the departure from Australia of Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh.

On Friday 28 October 2011, at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Prime Minister, the Honourable Julia Gillard MP, attended the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2011 Opening Ceremony.

Afterwards, at the Parmelia Hilton Hotel, Perth, the Governor-General, as guest of the Chair, Dr Casta Tungaraza, attended the first Round Table Forum of the African Women’s Council of Australia, and delivered an address.

On Thursday 27 October 2011, at the Richardson Hotel, Perth, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO received the Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates, Her Excellency Reem Ebrahim Al Hashemi, and the Founder of Mahboba's Promise, Ms Mahboba Rawi.

Afterwards, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Perth, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a reception in support of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting Parallel event “Empowering Women to Lead”, at which the Governor-General gave an address.
