2011 Remembrance Day Ceremony; Remembrance Day Lunch Reception

On Friday 11 November 2011, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Director of the Australian War Memorial, Major General Steve Gower AO, attended the 2011 Remembrance Day Ceremony, at which the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, laid a wreath at the Stone of Remembrance and a floral tribute at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Opening of the 8th Australia and New Zealand Adolescent Health Conference: 'Youth Health 2011'; Launch of 'Defence Officers in Business'

On Thursday 10 November 2011, at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of Conference Co-Convenors, Clinical Professor David Bennett AO and Clinical Associate Professor Susan Towns, opened the 8th Australia and New Zealand Adolescent Health Conference titled ‘Youth Health 2011’.

Later, at the Hellenic Club, Canberra, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guest of honour, attended the launch of ‘Defence Officers in Business’.

Christening of Sydney University Women's Rowing Club boat the 'Quentin Bryce'; Reception for the College of Nursing

On Wednesday 9 November 2011, at the Great Hall, Sydney University, New South Wales, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Vice-Chancellor and Principal of Sydney University, Dr Michael Spence and President of the Sydney Women’s Rowing Club, Ms Bronwen Watson, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General christened the Sydney University Women’s Rowing Club elite rowing boat named in her honour.

The Australian Ballet Les Etoiles Sydney Dinner

On Tuesday 8 November 2011, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, received the Head of Education from the University of Technology, Sydney, and Founding Director of the Australian Centre for Child and Youth: Culture and Wellbeing, Professor Rosemary Johnston.

Afterwards, at Bellevue Hill, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of Ms Roslyn Packer AO, attended the Australian Ballet Les Etoiles Sydney Dinner.

Catchment Youth Services; Dame Beryl Beaurepaire AC DBE; Official opening of the Frankston Family and Learning Centre

On Monday 7 November 2011, in Reservoir, Victoria, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as guest of the Executive Officer Mr Philip Murphy, visited the Catchment Youth Services Refuge.

Afterwards, in Mt Eliza, the Governor-General met with Dame Beryl Beaurepaire AC DBE.

Later, in Frankston, the Governor-General, as guest of the Mayor of Frankston, Councillor Kristopher Bolam, officially opened the Frankston Family and Learning Centre.

Official reopening of the Ballarat Arch of Victory; Official opening of the Ballarat Grammar Centennial Building; Ballarat District Nursing and Healthcare Centennial reception

On Sunday 6 November 2011, at the Arch of Victory, Ballarat the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Mayor of the City of Ballarat, Councillor Craig Fletcher, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General officially reopened the Arch.

King Island visit; Official opening of the Cape Wickham Lighthouse in its sesquicentenary year

On Saturday 5 November 2011, on King Island, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Manager, Mr Andy Summers, visited the King Island Dairy Fromagerie.

Afterwards, at the Clemons’ Property, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of owners Mr Jamie and Mrs Liz Clemons, attended a lunch with former lighthouse keepers’ descendants.

Later, at ‘Wongaru’, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of owners Mr Robbie and Mrs Linda Payne, visited a beef and sheep farm.

Presentation of the Governor-General's Banner to the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps

On Friday 4 November 2011, at Gallipoli Barracks, Enoggera, Queensland, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a parade at which the Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief and Colonel-in-Chief, presented the Governor-General’s Banner to the Royal Australian Army Medical Corps.

Federal Executive Council

On Thursday 3 November 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Ambassador-designate to the State of Kuwait, Mr Robert Tyson.

Earlier, at the Manuka Arts Centre, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as Patron, conducted an interview with the General Manager, Engineering and Development of ArtSound FM, Mr Chris Deacon, prior to the start of Radiothon 2011.
