His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik and Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of the Kingdom of Denmark

On Sunday 20 November 2011, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE received the Australian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Denmark, Mr James Choi.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce received His Royal Highness Crown Prince Frederik and Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of the Kingdom of Denmark.

Marysville Community Centre Official Opening; Murrindindi Shire ladies afternoon tea

On Saturday 19 November 2011, at Marysville, Victoria, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Mayor of Murrindindi Shire Council, Councillor Peter Beales, and Chief Executive Officer, Ms Margaret Abbey attended a community reception at which the Governor-General officially opened the Marysville Community Centre.

Afterwards, the Governor-General hosted an afternoon tea for women from the Murrindindi Shire.

Visit to Lifeline Canberra

On Friday 18 November 2011, in Civic, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO met with Lifeline Canberra staff and volunteers.

Earlier, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival in Australia of the President of the Republic of Vanuatu, His Excellency Mr Iolu Johnson Abbil, by Commander Theodore Wynberg ADC RAN, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

Wreath laying ceremony with the President of the United States of America; Scouts Awards Presentation

On Thursday 17 November 2011, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO attended a wreath laying ceremony with the President of the United States of America, the Honourable Barack Obama.

Afterwards, at Defence Establishment Fairbairn, the Governor-General attended the departure from Canberra of the President of the United States of America.

Later, at Government House, the Governor-General, as Chief Scout, hosted a presentation ceremony for Scouts Australia ACT Branch and presented the Queen’s Scout and Baden Powell Awards.

Arrival of the President of the United States of America

On Wednesday 16 November 2011, at Defence Establishment Fairbairn, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO attended the arrival ceremony for the President of the United States of America, the Honourable Barack Obama.

Later, at Parliament House, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, attended the ceremonial welcome for the President of the United States of America.

Canberra Rape Crisis Centre Official Opening; Reception to mark the 30th Anniversary of the Defence Widows Support Group

On Tuesday 15 November 2011, at Weston Community Hub, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO officially opened the new Canberra Rape Crisis Centre.

Earlier, at Government House, Canberra, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, hosted a reception to mark the 30th Anniversary of the Defence Widows Support Group.

Yalari Students Afternoon Tea; Musical Afternoon for the Friends of the School of Music

On Sunday 13 November 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO, as Patron of Yalari, received for afternoon tea Canberra Girls’ Grammar School students, Miss Mia Hodges, Miss Lyric Hearn and Miss Larissa Woosup. The students were accompanied by Head of the Boarding House, Canberra Girls’ Grammar School, Ms Tina Twigg.

Later, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as Patron, hosted a musical afternoon for the Friends of the School of Music.

Morning tea for Dragons Abreast; Voices in the Forest at the National Arboretum

On Saturday 12 November 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC CVO hosted a morning tea for members of Dragons Abreast, Australian Capital Territory and Region.

Afterwards, at the National Arboretum, Canberra, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, as guests of the Chief Minister of the Australian Capital Territory, Ms Katy Gallagher MLA, attended the Voices in the Forest event, at which the Governor-General delivered an address.
