Launch of Cerebral Palsy Website

On Tuesday 26 July 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received Mary MacKillop Foundation member and ambassador for the Travelling Sisters Roadshow – Australian Disaster Recovery, Sister Julianne Murphy.

Later, at R.B. Community Centre in Queanbeyan, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended a reception at which the Governor-General, as Patron, officially launched the Cerebral Palsy Australia website.

On Monday 25 July 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received Ms Margaret Bearlin.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the High Commissioner-designate to the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Trevor Peacock.

Arrival in Australia of the Presidents of the Republic of Nauru and the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste

On Saturday 23 July 2011, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC was represented at the arrival in Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Marcus Stephen MP, by Group Captain Guy Burton ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

In the evening, at Darwin International Airport, the Governor-General was represented at the arrival in Australia of the President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, His Excellency Dr Jose Ramos-Horta, by Captain Frank Kresse CSC ADC RANR, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

Ceremonial Sunset and Reception for the 100th Anniversary of Royal assent to the Royal Australian Navy

On Saturday 9 July 2011, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a ceremonial sunset and reception in recognition of 100th anniversary of the granting of the ‘Royal’ assent to the Royal Australian Navy, at which the Governor-General gave an address.

Technical Aid to the Disabled; Parramatta Mission; University of Western Sydney; SydWest Multicultural Services; Butucarbin Aboriginal Corporation

On Friday 8 July 2011, at Northmead, New South Wales, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC visited the Technical Aid to the Disabled (New South Wales) Headquarters.

Afterwards, at the Leigh Memorial Church, Parramatta, the Governor-General visited the Parramatta Mission and assisted volunteers with the lunch service.

Later, at Parramatta, the Governor-General, as guest of the Vice Chancellor and President, Professor Janice Reid AM, visited the University of Western Sydney.

Research Australia

On Thursday 7 July 2011, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received Caringbah Selective High School student, Master Ewan Maddock, accompanied by Mrs Leanne Gibbs.

In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a reception for Research Australia, at which the Governor-General presented certificates to members in recognition of their support to Research Australia.

Earlier, Mr Bryce received from Bligh Voller Nield Architecture, Professor Lawrence Nield and Mrs Andrea Nield.
