On Sunday 29 May 2011, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE departed Australia on an official visit to the Republic of Italy and the Kingdom of Spain.

On Wednesday 25 May 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received a farewell call by the High Commissioner for Papua New Guinea, His Excellency Mr Charles Lepani and Mrs Katherine Lepani.

On Wednesday 25 May 2011, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received the Minister for Defence, the Honourable Stephen Smith MP.

Afterwards, at Defence Establishment Fairbairn, Canberra, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the Ceremonial Arrival of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, His Excellency Mr Demetris Christofias and Mrs Elisavet Christofia.

In the afternoon, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce received the President of the Republic of Cyprus and Mrs Christofia.

Australian Air Force School of Air Traffic Control Standard Parade and Governor-General's Banner Presentation; Benjeroop, Murrabit and Kerang Community Visits

On Tuesday 24 May 2011, at Royal Australian Air Force Base East Sale, Victoria, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the Royal Australian Air Force School of Air Traffic Control Standard Parade, at which Governor-General, as Commander-in-Chief, presented the Governor-General's Banner.

In the afternoon, in Benjeroop, Victoria, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, accompanied by the Mayor of Gannawarra Shire Council, Councillor Max Fehring, visited the Hawken family farm.

Royal Humane Society Australasia 2010 Clarke Medal Presentation Ceremony; Royal Women's Hospital; Rotary Australia 90th Anniversary Dinner

On Monday 23 May 2011, at Melbourne Town Hall, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General, as Senior Patron of the Royal Humane Society of Australasia, presented the 2010 Clarke Medal to Senior Constable Mark Ian Tregellas.

In the afternoon, at the Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce, as guests of the Chair of the Board of the Royal Women’s Hospital, Dr Rhonda Galbally AO, met with patients, staff, volunteers and hospital supporters.

On Sunday 22 May 2011, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General hosted a dinner for the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Her Excellency Ms Navi Pillay. Guests included: the Honourable Justice Virginia Bell; the Honourable Catherine Branson QC; the Honourable Elizabeth Evatt AC; Emeritus Professor Ron McCallum AO and Professor Mary Crock; and Mr Rory Mungoven.

On Friday 20 May 2011, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE, hosted a reception for the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize as part of the 2011 Sydney Writer’s Festival,

Earlier, Mr Bryce received the Chairman of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce Australia and New-Zealand, Mr Paul Vittles.
