Governor-General's program

On Monday, 7 September 2009, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Earlier, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended, and the Governor-General conducted, an investiture ceremony. In the afternoon, Mr Bryce, as Patron, received the President of Art Song, Dr Oliver Raymond OAM, and the Treasurer of Art Song, Mrs Louise Page. Earlier, at St Francis Xavier Cathedral, Adelaide, the Governor-General was represented at the funeral of the late Flying Officer Michael Herbert, by Wing Commander Rick Subotkiewicz ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-camp.

On Friday, 4 September 2009, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC hosted to lunch Ms Pamela Williams.

Afterwards, at Danebank Anglican School for Girls, Hurstville, New South Wales, the Governor-General delivered the occasional address and officially opened the new Performing Arts Centre. Earlier, at the National Capital Authority, Canberra, Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the first meeting of the Lindsay Prior Arboretum Reference Group.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted an afternoon tea in recognition of the 25th anniversary of the Australian Girls' Choir. Later, the Governor-General, as Patron-in-Chief of The Order of Australia Association, and Mr Bryce, hosted a reception for the Order of Australia Association Foundation Scholarship Awardees.
