On Wednesday 26 August 2009, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC, as Patron-in-Chief, and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE hosted a Board meeting for the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal at which the Governor-General launched the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal 2008-2009 Community Report.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Chairman of Home Hospice, Ms Jocelyn Murphy AM. In the evening, the Governor-General and Mr Bryce hosted a reception for their NSW based patronages.
