On Sunday 11 November 2007, at the Australian War Memorial, Canberra, the Governor-General and Her Excellency Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended the 2007 Remembrance Day Ceremony, at which the Governor-General laid a wreath and Mrs Jeffery laid flowers at the Stone of Remembrance and afterwards, laid flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

On Saturday 10 November 2007, at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC was represented at the departure from Australia of the Governor-General of New Zealand, the Honourable Anand Satyanand PCNZM QSO, by Colonel Stephen P. Tulley, AM, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

On Friday 9 November 2007, at Parliament House, Darwin, Their Excellencies, the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General administered the Oath of Allegiance and Office to the Nineteenth Administrator of the Northern Territory, His Honour Mr Thomas Pauling QC. Afterwards, Their Excellencies attended a Reception held in honour of the Administrator and Mrs Tessa Pauling hosted by the Chief Minister of the Northern Territory, Mrs Clare Martin, MLA.

On Thursday 8 November 2007, at Government House, Darwin, Their Excellencies, the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery, attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General, as Prior of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, invested the Administrator-designate of the Northern Territory, Mr Thomas Pauling QC, as a Knight of Grace, and Mrs Tessa Pauling as a Dame of Grace in the Order.

On Tuesday 6 November 2007, at Flemington Racecourse, Melbourne, Victoria, Their Excellencies the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery, as guests of the Chairman and Committee of the Victoria Racing Club, attended the 2007 Emirates Melbourne Cup Carnival, at which the Governor-General presented the Emirates Melbourne Cup to the winning owner.

On Monday 5 November 2007, at Verbrugghen Hall, Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Their Excellencies, the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery, attended the 2007 Finals Concert of the Australian Singing Competition, at which the Governor-General presented both the Mathy and Foster Awards.

On Saturday, 3 November 2007, at the Albury Showground, New South Wales, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC, as guest of honour of the Mayor of Albury, Councillor Stuart Baker, officially opened the 150th Albury Show.

On Friday, 2 November 2007, at the Karrakatta Cemetery, Perth, Western Australia, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC, as Honorary Colonel of the Special Air Service Regiment (SASR), attended the military funeral of the late Sergeant Matthew Locke MG, SASR.

In the evening, at CSIRO Discovery Centre, Canberra, Her Excellency Mrs Marlena Jeffery launched Save the Children ??? Canberra Group.

On Wednesday 31 October 2007, at Woden, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC officially opened the new IP Australia building.

In the evening, at the Royal Military College of Australia, Duntroon, Canberra, the Governor-General attended the Chief of Army's History Conference Dinner '1917: Tactics, Training and Technology'.

On Tuesday 30 October 2007, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC received the National President, Returned and Services League of Australia, Major General Bill Crews AO (Retd).
