On Friday, 26 October 2007, at Holsworthy Barracks, NSW, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC, as Commander-in-Chief, presented a Unit Citation for Gallantry to the 4th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (Commando).

On Thursday, 25 October 2007, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC received from Her Excellency Mrs Sujatha Singh, Letters of Commission accrediting her as High Commissioner for the Republic of India. The High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr Vinod Kumar, (Deputy High Commissioner); and Mr Namagyal Dorjee Khangserpa (Head of Chancery) High Commission of India.

In the evening, at Government House, Canberra, Their Excellencies hosted a reception for the 14th General Synod of the Anglican Church of Australia.
