On Saturday 15 September 2007, at Canberra Girls' Grammar School, Deakin, ACT Their Excellencies the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery, as guests of honour of the Headmaster, Canberra Grammar School, attended the 15th Australian Combined Schools' Music Festival.

On Friday 14 September 2007, at Government House Canberra, Their Excellencies the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended, and the Governor-General conducted, two Investiture Ceremonies.

On Tuesday, 11 September 2007, at Melbourne Town Hall, Victoria, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC officially opened the Returned and Services League of Australia National Congress 2007.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the National President, Regular Defence Force Welfare Association, Colonel David Jamison AM (Retd). Earlier, at Braddon ACT, Her Excellency Mrs Marlena Jeffery was guest speaker at the Canberra City Ladies Probus Club.

On Monday, 10 September 2007, at Government House, Canberra, Their Excellencies the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery hosted a reception at which the Governor-General, as Patron-in-Chief of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust, presented the 2007 Churchill Fellows Awards.

On Friday, 7 September 2007, at Admiralty House, Sydney, Their Excellencies, the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General was invested with an Honorary Grand Companion of the Order of the Logohu by the Right Honourable Grand Chief Sir Michael T. Somare GCL GCMG CH CF KStJ, Prime Minister of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea.

On Thursday, 6 September 2007, at Admiralty House, Sydney, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Bush accompanied by the Secretary of State, Dr Condoleezza Rice; Ambassador of the United States of America, His Excellency Mr Robert McCallum Jr; and the Australian Ambassador to the United States of America, Mr Denis Richardson AO.

On Tuesday, 4 September 2007, at Defence Establishment Fairbairn, ACT, Their Excellencies the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended the Ceremonial Arrival of the President of the People's Republic of China, His Excellency Hu Jintao.

On Monday, 3 September 2007, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

On Sunday, 2 September 2007, the Governor-General returned to Government House, Canberra, at the completion of his official visit to Malaysia.
