On Friday 23 November 2007, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC received Mr Mike Silverstone CSC, former Commanding Officer of the Special Air Service Regiment.

On Thursday 22 November 2007, at Government House, Canberra, Their??Excellencies the Governor-General, Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery hosted a Christmas Party for children from: Amaroo; Camp Quality; Autism Asperger Association ACT; Barnardos; St Vincent de Paul; ACT Down Syndrome Association; Diabetes Australia; and the Spastic Centre.

In the evening, at the Residence of the Ambassador of the United States of America, Yarralumla ACT, Their Excellencies attended a Thanksgiving Dinner hosted by His Excellency Mr Robert McCallum Jr.

On Wednesday 21 November 2007, at Government House, Canberra, Their Excellencies the Governor-General, Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC, as Patron of Canberra Legacy, and Mrs Marlena Jeffery hosted a Christmas Morning Tea for Legacy widows.

Later, at Sydney International Airport, His Excellency the Governor-General, Major General Michael Jeffery, AC, CVO, MC, was represented at the transit through Australia of the President of the Republic of Kiribati, His Excellency the Honourable Anote Tong, MP, by Commander Ted B. Wynberg, RAN, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

On Tuesday 20 November 2007, the Governor-General sent a message of congratulations on behalf of the People of Australia to Her Majesty The Queen and His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh on the occasion of their Diamond Wedding Anniversary.

On Monday 19 November 2007, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC received the Australian Ambassador-designate and Permanent Representative to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, Mr Christopher Langman.
