On Thursday 4 April 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council at Government House, Canberra.

Afterwards the Governor-General, as Senior Patron of The Royal Humane Society of Australasia, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted an investiture ceremony for Constable Zachary Rolfe, 2018 recipient of the Clarke Gold Medal.

On Wednesday 3 April 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received Her Excellency Mrs Vicki Treadell CMG MVO, High Commissioner for the United Kingdom at Government House, Canberra.

Afterwards the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a lunch for African Heads of Mission.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mr Glenn Keys AO, Chair, visited Project Independence residences in Harrison, Canberra.

On Monday 2 April 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Dr Lyn Bishop OAM, Principal, visited Sheldon College, Brisbane.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a morning tea for Queensland-based patronages, at Customs House.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a lunch for Queensland-based recipients of Australian honours and awards, at the Malt Cellar.

Christchurch, New Zealand

On Friday 29 March 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, received a briefing from Her Excellency the Honourable Patricia Forsythe AM, High Commissioner for Australia in New Zealand at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Christchurch, New Zealand.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove visited the Al Noor Mosque to lay a floral tribute for victims of the Christchurch Mosque terror attacks.

On Thursday 28 March 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided over a meeting of the Federal Executive Council at Government House, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mr Shane Charles, Chairman, Royal Agricultural Society of Queensland, attended the unveiling of a plaque to commemorate the 11th Lighthorse Regiment in Toowoomba.

Later, the Governor-General, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mr Shane Charles, officially opened the 155th Toowoomba Royal Show.

On Wednesday 27 March 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), met with Mr Rick Cranna, Chairman, Legacy Australia; Mr Philip McNamara, Vice-Chairman, Legacy Australia; and Mr Scott Warr, CEO, Legacy Australia.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Montpellier Primary School, Highton, VIC; Gladstone Park Secondary College, VIC; and Orchard Grove Primary School, Blackburn South, VIC, as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.
