On Saturday 10 February 2007, the grounds of Government House, Canberra, were open to members of the public for the Canberra Symphony Orchestra 2007 Annual Prom Concert. Their Excellencies, the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery attended the concert as guests of the Chair of the Canberra Symphony Orchestra, Mr Tony Hedley.

On Friday 9 February 2007, at Brisbane International Airport, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC, was represented at the arrival in Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Ludwig Scotty MP, by Colonel Chris Hamilton, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

On Tuesday 6 February 2007, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC sent the following message to Her Majesty The Queen on the occasion of the 55th Anniversary of Her Accession to the Throne: "It gives me great pleasure, on behalf of the people of Australia, to send to Your Majesty loyal and affectionate greetings on the Anniversary of Your Accession to the Throne??.

On Saturday 3 February 2007 at Sydney International Airport, the Governor-General His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC was represented at the departure from Australia of the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Ludwig Scotty MP, by Colonel Bill Monfries, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

On Thursday 1 February 2007 at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

On Wednesday 31 January 2007 at Government House, Canberra, Their Excellencies the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery received the Governor of Canakkale, His Excellency Mr Orhan Kirli and Mrs Inciser Kirli, accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, His Excellency Mr Murat Ersavci and Mrs Zeynep Ersavci.

On Tuesday 30 January 2007 at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Her Excellency Mrs Marlena Jeffery received the Prime Minister, the Honourable John Howard MP and Mrs??Janette Howard. Afterwards, the Governor-General presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council and on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, signed the instruments of revocation and appointments for the Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries to their respective new offices.

On Friday 26 January 2007 at Mansfield, Victoria, Their Excellencies the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery, as guests of the Mayor of Mansfield, Councillor Sandie Jeffcoat, attended a Citizenship Ceremony at the Australia Day Celebrations, at which the Governor-General delivered an address and presented Certificates of Citizenship before presenting Citizens of the Year Awards to thirteen CFA Brigades in the Mansfield region.

On Thursday 25 January 2007 at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, His Excellency Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC received the Australian Ambassador-designate to the People's Republic of China, Dr Geoff Raby.

On Wednesday 24 January 2007 at Admiralty House, Sydney, Their Excellencies the Governor-General Major General Michael Jeffery AC CVO MC and Mrs Marlena Jeffery received the Australian Ambassador-designate to the European Communities, Belgium and Luxembourg, Dr Alan Thomas, accompanied by Dr Sally Borthwick.

Later, at North Bondi, NSW, the Governor-General and Mrs Jeffery attended a ceremony at which the Governor-General officially launched the Australian Bureau of Statistics 2007 Year Book Australia.
