On Wednesday 10 April 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), as Chancellor of the Order of Australia, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted an Investiture Ceremony for Order of Australia honours and bravery decorations at Government House, Canberra.

Earlier, the Governor-General met with students from Singleton Public School, NSW; Methodist Ladies College, WA; and Yahl Primary School, SA as they undertook a tour of Government House, as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Tuesday 9 April 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received Her Excellency Ms Beryl Sisulu, High Commissioner for the Republic of South Africa, for a farewell call at Government House, Canberra.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received His Excellency Mr Somasundaram Skandakumar, High Commissioner for the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, for a farewell call.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a lunch for the Service Warrant Officers and their partners.

On Monday 8 April 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), met with students from St Mary’s Primary School, NSW; Prescott College Southern, SA; and Tara Anglican School for Girls, NSW as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Saturday 6 April 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) as Patron, and Lady Cosgrove, attended the ACT Veterans Rugby Club’s Annual Fools Day Festival at Duntroon, Canberra.

On Friday 5 April 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), met with students from Gilles Street Primary School, SA and Dandenong High School, VIC as they undertook a tour of Government House as part of their visit to Canberra.

On Thursday 4 April 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council at Government House, Canberra.

Afterwards the Governor-General, as Senior Patron of The Royal Humane Society of Australasia, and Lady Cosgrove, hosted an investiture ceremony for Constable Zachary Rolfe, 2018 recipient of the Clarke Gold Medal.

On Wednesday 3 April 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received Her Excellency Mrs Vicki Treadell CMG MVO, High Commissioner for the United Kingdom at Government House, Canberra.

Afterwards the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a lunch for African Heads of Mission.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Mr Glenn Keys AO, Chair, visited Project Independence residences in Harrison, Canberra.

On Wednesday 2 April 2019, Her Excellency Lady Cosgrove hosted a morning tea for her ACT-based patronages at Government House, Canberra.

On Monday 2 April 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Dr Lyn Bishop OAM, Principal, visited Sheldon College, Brisbane.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a morning tea for Queensland-based patronages, at Customs House.

Later, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove hosted a lunch for Queensland-based recipients of Australian honours and awards, at the Malt Cellar.

On Friday 29 March 2019, the Governor-General, His Excellency General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, received a briefing from Her Excellency the Honourable Patricia Forsythe AM, High Commissioner for Australia in New Zealand at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Christchurch, New Zealand.

Afterwards, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove visited the Al Noor Mosque to lay a floral tribute for victims of the Christchurch Mosque terror attacks.
