Rotary Club of Canberra lunch

On Monday 16 March 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), received Senator for the Australian Capital Territory, Senator the Honourable Kate Lundy.

Afterwards, at the Commonwealth Club, Canberra, the Governor-General, as an Honorary Rotarian, and Lady Cosgrove, attended the Rotary Club of Canberra lunch where the Governor-General delivered the keynote address.

Morning Tea for the Canberra Rats of Tobruk; Visit to Rockhampton and Yeppoon

On Friday 13 March 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, hosted a morning tea for the Canberra Rats of Tobruk.

Afterwards, at the Rockhampton City Hall, the Governor-General, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Mayor of Rockhampton Regional Council, Councillor Margaret Strewlow, attended a Cyclone Marcia brief with Emergency Services Heads.

Federal Executive Council; Lunch for the Deputy Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs; St John Investiture Ceremony; Duke of Edinburgh’s Award ACT 2015 Gold Award Presentation

On Thursday 12 March 2015, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), presided at a meeting of the Federal Executive Council.

Afterwards, the Governor-General received the Australian Ambassador to Italy, the Honourable Mike Rann CNZM.

Later, the Governor-General received for lunch the Deputy Secretary, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr Gary Quinlan.

Opening of ANZAC Walk and ANZAC Place in Emerald; Visit to the Fire Protection Association; Visit to First Voice

On Wednesday 11 March 2015, in Emerald, Victoria, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd), and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the President of Emerald RSL, Mr Peter Maloney, opened the ANZAC Walk and ANZAC Place, to recognise the 32 soldiers from Emerald Township and its surrounding Districts who died during World War I.
