Fromelles Commemorative Service; Jewish Museum of Australia

On Sunday 19 July 2015, at the Shrine of Remembrance, Melbourne, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Founding Executive Member, Friends of the 15th Brigade, Mr Lambis Englezos AM attended the 2015 Fromelles Commemorative Service, at which Their Excellencies laid a wreath and the Governor-General made an address.

MH17 First Anniversary National Memorial Service; Visit to Brisbane

On Friday 17 July 2015, at Parliament House, Canberra, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove attended the National Memorial Service marking the first anniversary of the loss of Flight MH17, at which Their Excellencies laid a wreath and the Governor-General made an address.

Afterwards, at Eagle Farm, Brisbane, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Managing Director, TradeCoast Central Project, Mr Bob Tucker, attended the opening of the Trade Coast Heritage Park Interpretative Centre.

2015 ‘Advancing Community Cohesion’ Conference

On Wednesday 15 July, at the University of Western Sydney Parramatta South Campus,, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chancellor, Professor Peter Shergold AC, visited the Whitlam Institute and met with academics, staff and students.

Afterwards, at the Sir Ian and Nancy Turbott Auditorium, the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of Conference Convenor, Dr Sev Ozdowski OAM attended the 2015 ‘Advancing Community Cohesion’ Conference, at which the Governor-General delivered the keynote address.

Sir Edward ‘Weary’ Dunlop Commemorative Service

On Sunday 12 July 2015, at the Kings Domain Gardens, Melbourne, the Governor-General, General the Honourable Sir Peter Cosgrove AK MC (Retd) as Patron-in-Chief, and Lady Cosgrove, as guests of the Chairman of the Sir Edward ‘Weary’ Dunlop Medical Research Foundation, Mr Mike O’Meara, attended the annual Commemorative Service, at which the Governor-General and Lady Cosgrove laid a wreath.
