On Tuesday 6 October 2009, at Government House, Canberra, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC received from Her Excellency Mrs Eva Ponomarenkov?Ñ, Letters of Credence accrediting her as the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic. The Ambassador was accompanied by Mr Michal Kovac (Deputy Head of Mission). The Governor-General and Mr Bryce also received Mr Igor Ponomarenko.

On Monday 5 October 2009, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC was represented at Brisbane International Airport at the arrival in Australia by the Governor-General of New Zealand, His Excellency the Honourable Sir Anand Satyanand PCNZM QSO, by Group Captain Brian Duddington AM ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp

On Sunday 4 October 2009 at the Greek Club and Convention Centre, Brisbane, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the 50th Anniversary Dinner of the Greek Ladies Philoptochos Society of St George.

Afterwards, the Governor-General was represented at Brisbane International Airport at the departure from Australia by the President of the Republic of Nauru, His Excellency the Honourable Marcus Stephen MP, by Group Captain Robert Lawson ADC, an Honorary Aide-de-Camp.

On Saturday 3 October 2009 at Evans Head, New South Wales, the Governor-General Ms Quentin Bryce AC and Mr Michael Bryce AM AE attended the Opening Ceremony for the 70th Anniversary of the Evans Head Memorial Aerodrome, at which Mr Bryce delivered an address and unveiled a commemorative plaque.
